The Hound and Hound Tor

Ruby is not a big fan of fireworks, so having kept her inside last night, well away from the loud bangs from the displays, I treated her to a walk up on Dartmoor today. This shot is taken from Smallacombe Rocks, and in the distance on the right is Hound Tor - associated (rightly or wrongly) with the Sherlock Holmes 'Baskervilles' story.

In the car park at Hound Tor, you'll often find a fast food van dispensing burgers, hot dogs and the like, with the side of the van bearing the livery "The Hound of the Basket Meals".

I'm not making it up.
