Hold on to your hat
A windblown Wifie at the gateway to the Lifeboat Staion at Roa Island. It was just a little gusty. On the right hand side is Piel Island, not the most accessible place on a day like today. Roa Island, by the way, is not truly an island, as it is connected to the mainland by a causeway. I have featured the Lifeboat station and Piel Island before, but this photo has more human interest (as well as having the rare Wifie seal of approval, she being a bit shy of appearing in blips).
We had a trip down the coast to see friends in Rampside. We were early so had a cup of tea and a toasted teacake in the Bosun's Locker cafe.
Last night we went to see the new Sherlock Holmes film. I'm told it was very enjoyable. Amazingly I managed to fall asleep half way through, and as a consequence lost the plot. An early night perhaps would be a good idea tonight.
Following the successful end to the otter blip quest, the appearance of a certain quite shy bird species in the garden this morning has given me a new quest. I wasn't quick enough grabbing the camera and telephoto lens this morning. I don't remember ever seeing this bird in the garden at eye level before, so this quest could take some time.
