Big Fish!

Oops, it's yet ANOTHER food-related blip!

This is this year's Sammy, the salmon! He's gigantic - almost too long for the fish kettle!

Having a salmon to poach around this time of year is another of our traditions. All the cats have had some, and the Wonderspouse will make all sorts of fishcakes and so on for the next week or so!

Yummy!

As to today, it's been a fairly busy one. I've cleaned all the rodent cages and got George and Henry's cage ready for them - tomorrow is collection day - hurrah! :-) So exciting!

This morning we went to town - a bit of banking, a bit of shopping, and the Wonderspouse (who has something wrong with his foot) went to the doctors. The doctor wasn't able to say what it was, and suggested he should wear better quality shoes. Hmmm!

I also bought some vastly reduced table mat things to put round Laura's cage - she's SO chaotic that she covers everything with wood shavings and also seems to manage to wee out of her cage too! One hamster makes a LOT more mess than the ratties!

Then it was back to cage work, then hoovering etc. Just lots of physical stuff!

And now we're full of salmon and gently chilling out in front of the telly!
