Grand Canyon - Retro Finish

I sat here and let my eyes wander across the canyon and wonder. The deafening silence of the stone for miles and the silent serpent like Coloroda river flowing at it's own speed at the bottom of the canyon...

What could have caused this. The scientific reasons provided are not very convincing to me. God knows what could have caused this rock formation....

In my next visit, I'll definitely venture to the bottom of the Canyon to shoot the Colorado river and the hidden waterfalls.
