New year's eve shopping

Filled the car with ingredients for a delicious new year's eve finger food supper. We were happy that the shopping was over as we struggled amongst hundreds of people wanting the same chocolate, mascarpone, truffle, salmon, shrimps and quail eggs. Why had everybody our shopping list?
