Corner shop

The wonderful Champigros, the little hole-in--the-wall purveyor of mushrooms in my old Brussels neighbourhood, has come up in the world. Over the last 60 years, the Schoorman family motto of "freshness, quality and service" has won them a loyal clientele of Michelin star chefs and local cooks. Apart from selling beautiful wild mushrooms (they carry a staggering 30 varieties in the autumn), they also sell truffles, fruits, vegetables and have a deli counter with a mouth-watering array of fine balsamic vinegars, oils and mustards. I love this shop.
