Boxing Day

Today was our Boxing Day and it was very relaxing - a little too relaxing to be honest - it was very hard getting out for a walk this afternoon. The weather did not help with this either as it was blowing a hoolie and raining so we decided to take a quick stroll down the river to the pier and back and then into the cafe for a hot chocolate to warm up!

Just after we arrived at the river the lifeboat went out with a crew of three on it - I am not sure if it was called out or if it was out for training but I didn't envy them at all. The sea conditions looked fairly rotten and the visibility was not great either - as they left the harbour mouth they 'put their foot down' though and it did look rather exhilarating bouncing over the breakers coming in..................
