Wet and wetter

It rained all day. Some of us dutifully dragged the dog through dripping woods and over soggy fields, returning home to scoff a freshly-baked chocolate cake. Later a splendid lasagna and a cranberry cobbler emerged from the oven and were rapidly demolished. That in essence was the day.

Tomorrow the gathered family will begin to disperse.
