Goodbye

As quickly as the house filled up a couple of weeks ago, it is starting to empty again, with my son the first of the lot to return to his home away from home.

This was taken at Washington's national airport, one of three airports servicing that city. Kevin was hoping on a plane to Montreal, where he'll spend his new year's eve before flying back to Toronto where he studies.

Had I had my camera instead of just my blackberry, you might have been able to see some of DC's more famous landmarks in between the panes of this window: the Smithsonian museum HQ, the Capitol building and the Washington monument.
