On the last day of 2011

TeeJay and I saw eagles - but like the Yeti or UFO's, could not get a clear shot to prove our sightings to anyone.

Visited the location of the Mad Max II and III movies and saw more pictures of Mel Gibson than I care to - but at least they are of a young Gibson so all is forgiven.

Sat on a huge park bench that made us look and feel so small but not insignificant as we looked out over Broken Hill.

And finally we rode these beasties. Neither of us had ever ridden one and a wonderful experience. Bluebell, my ride and the front camel was an angel the entire trip. Highly recommended activity for any one's bucket list.

Oddly the cameleer once we said we were from NZ told us about today's quake in Christchurch - it is nice to know that the Aussies - even in the outback are interested and care.

We are heading towards Parkes where the satellite dish is situated tomorrow and I do have to say how well TeeJay is coping with the heat - 37 deg celsius today. But we will see how she copes with 41 degs tomorrow ;)
