Goodbye 2011!!! Hello 2012!!!

Wishing to all in Blip-foto land a wonderful New Year ... A Happy 2012!!

Finally got a chance to see the famous X-mas Tree in Rockerfeller Center in NYC a few days back and started to see all the preparations in a few blocks away going on for the famous ball drop in Times Square.

I'm always amazed as how much this city ... my hometown ... has changed. Back in the 70's and 80's, this place and Times Square was practically a dump ... empty of people as the city was in the hey-days of graffiti in the subways, high crime and in the case of Times Square full of X-rated theaters and X-rated stores and the like. Today...all that is gone, the crime rate is at one of its lowest and this place and Times Square is just packed the hilt and overflowing with tourists from all over the world ... to the point of annoyance and strangely longing for the hey days of the 70's and 80's of course minus the bad stuff :) :) An amazing transformation that just keeps on continuing.

Enough reminiscing...Goodbye 2011 and Hello 2012!!
