Along the valley
Despite the damp, grey conditions I went for a walk this afternoon and enjoyed being outside. It was surprisingly mild and the dull light seemed to allow the colours of the trees to shine forth. Initially this photo looked very dark, but a closer inspection showed the colours of the different trees - the grey/green lichen covered ones, the ones with reddish branches, the dark green evergreens and the browny grey colour of the bare branches.
The photo is taken from 'Bob's seat' looking up the North Esk valley (on the left) and towards Penicuik House which you can see in the distance with the crane in front of it.
