Confluence

This bottle of river water was given to me at an art 'happening' a few years ago. I've never been able to decipher the signature of the artist properly so I can't credit them here (if you know who it is, or if by some chance it's you, please let me know!) but the green tag attached to the bottle reads:

"This water is from the River Derwent, Workington and the River Mersey, Liverpool. Both of these places I call home"

The words on the label seemed appropriate for tonight as the year turns and our pasts collide with our futures.

"Who you are is
Where you are from
Where you are at
And where you are going"
