Albertville

Well, having driven 1,233.4 miles (approximately!!!) you may have expected a superb panoramic view of snow-laden Alpine ski slopes!? Unfortunately I was unable to rouse MrsTheLaird or the "little ones" (C, F & I) in time to get all their kit in place to hit the slopes this side of mid-day. It was also raining heavily and a complete white-out on the slopes. We contented ourselves puruesing some shops in Albertville. I really enjoy checking out the fruit & veg and seafood sections of shops away from the UK - they always look much more appetising!! The blip today is from the 4 Valleys Supermarchet in Alberville.
After this we thought we might head up to Meribel to doing some skating and 10-pin bowling but discovered that there were about 10,000 other people planning the same manoeuvre at roughly the same time so the road came to a complete standstill for an hour or so. Fortunately CFI were all on good form and kept us entertained before we decided to head back to a creperie and coffee shop in Albertville.
A good day was had by all!
