from off to on

came home & the internet was out. cable too.
still don't know why.
at first i blamed the pc- it has another virus (surprise surprise),
so i thought they shut it off to take care of that.
this doesn't seem to have been the case.
it eventually came back on so i was able to post without a backblip.
this wasn't the only thing to switch up unexpectedly today.
all summer my boss had been talking about 12 hour days starting today,
when we showed up ready to work the extra time,
he said we were staying at 10 hour days til further notice.
i wanted the overtime.
this is one of my work shoes in the evening light.
i liked how the shadows looked.
normally when i take a picture for this reason,
they never come out right.
i feel this one was close enough, so its getting posted.
i got bored a few years ago and painted the shoe at work.
nowadays we don't even get to use the blue color,
because they don't want us painting the hallways.
we're pretty much limited to a yellowish off-white.
sometimes actual white.
this job goes downhill every year...
don't get me wrong-- it's definitely not a terrible job,
just not at all how it was when i first started.
