Achievement Unlocked

Today was remarkable.

Firstly, my first year of blip is over. It has been an unexpectedly fun and challenging year, starting as an effort to change my perspectives of photography and composition, becoming a tool to diarise or rant about my day or thoughts. In the process I hope I have learned something.

I have yet to work out what happens next year. The next challenge. I guess I am running out of time!

Secondly. For various reasons the drunken brawl that is used to mark the passing of the year is not favoured in our home. So we took off, with the dogs, to the Caterthuns - a ridge of small hills used as Pictish forts. There we picnicked and revelled, and watched the distant night sky be set alight by party-goers across Angus. We thank them for their display.

With most of the family now cosily tucked up in bed, and me catching up with the text of my Hogmanay blip before I sleep, I wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2012!
