Ice Block?

With it being so hot here today (40degrees), Jax and I thought we would both just stay home and relax.

I took the opportunity to go outside this morning when the temperature was still reasonable and read for a while. Jax was having a lovely time rolling in the dead grass and then traipsing it through the house. It was cute watching him rolling around in it though, think it must have been a nice back scratch for him.

And then I had a thought.....I think I have a Jax sized ice block. Whenever you are making a drink and put ice in it, you have to give him an ice cube, he loves them. The other day I made up some bigger containers of ice to put in the esky to take to dads. There was a couple left over.

So I got one out and just put it on the step, as soon as I put it down Jax was there licking it and trying to pick it up, it didnt take long to melt enough that he could get his teeth around it and took it out onto a shady bit of grass and had a lovely time.

The simple things...
