A peaceful start to 2012

Happy New Year to you all!

There will be a few bad heads today no doubt but mine is not one of them. The Ceilidh last night was a lovely family event and alcohol free. It concluded with a rendition of the One Day at a Time song which is a good enough New Year's resolution for me. Then it was a trip over the fields to our unusual fen church this morning. It was built by the famous architects Bucknall and Cowper at the beginning of the 20th century. With its timbered frame and slate roof it is a peaceful rural gem from which emanates a spiritual calm. A good place to start 2012.
