Church mouse

We went on a Toad adventure today to the north coast of Anglesey - Cemaes Bay and visited Llanbadrig church which overlooks the sea on top of the rocky cliffs.

A little bit of history..........

It dates originally from 440AD & legend has it that St Patrick was shipwrecked on Ynys Badrig ( Patricks Isle) now called Middle Mouse, which is the little island in the blip, he swam ashore & later built the church.

In the 1800's it was renovated by Lord Henry Stanley who had converted to Islam & the stained glass & decoration inside echoes that style.

Unfortunatley it was locked up so we couldn't see for ourselves.
