Great Glen
This morning Mrs P took her mum to Raigmore to see Tom and also because because her mum seemed a little doubtful about the story of husband Tom being in hospital. Glad to say Tom seems physically more comfortable but is getting a little bit fed up - "a bit gurney" to use Mrs P's words. Back to his old self then....
One of Mrs P's three brothers who lives in Aberdeenshire has rented a small cottage just opposite Dores church for a week over New Year. It's a converted mill still by the side of the mill stream and a few old millstones around. So the three of us went down for a late lunch but stopped to get a shot looking SW down the Great Glen with Loch Ness. Dores is the village you can see on the left near the head of the loch. Briefly looked in the carpark at Dores beach to see a couple just leaving the water. Then off to a very nice lunch. Our host had been for a walk earlier and at the same beach saw about 20 skinny dippers take the plunge although most lasted only a few seconds before emerging.
