New Year message

Well the New Year started inauspiciously with a vomiting child and lashing rain! But we rescued the day from ignominy by settling down to watch one of my favourite films, The Purple Rose of Cairo. This was followed by a programme about the great Pixar animation studios. Our children's childhoods would have been poorer without the likes of Toy Story and Monsters inc. As I'm not a purchaser of the Apple oeuvre, I had no idea that we have Steve Jobs to thank for Pixar's existence. Now, Buzz Lightyear and Woody, that is a legacy!
