Lyme Park, Disley, Cheshire

Mum's been away to London for the New Year and asked us to pick her up at Hanley Bus Station later today, so I thought we may as well visit a National Trust property that way on .... well, that way on-ish.

Maybe you recognise it? No? Well, not surprising really, I mean who would look at the building behind the dashing and dripping wet Mr Darcy?!

It threw it down with rain the whole time we were there so we didn't get to see much and will definately have to go back. Thankfully there was an indoor Beatrix Potter exhibition and two refreshment areas to dry out in. ( That accounts for why Mr Jeremy Fisher is in the lake - I'm going back when they have one for Pride And Prejudice!! )

Public Information Notice: If you have to collect anyone from Hanley bus station ... actually, just refuse to do it! Never want to go to Stoke again! You can't even get a postcode to put into the Sat Nav and there are no signs for the bus station anywhere!! Eventually mum wandered off and found the fire station where we were able to find her!
