Scotland The World Over at New Year

I took part in Scotland The World Over atop Craigowl hill.

The New Year started with a bang at Aberdour, overlooking Edinburgh. We aimed for the large layby to park in, but it was overflowing with cars. We were obviously not the first to think of it. Luckily, we knew of a track up the hill, all due to our Dutch friends. After a bit of a panic to try and then set up tripod and camera in time, I realised I couldn't see the dials to set it. Suddenly it was New Year and all hell let loose above the skies of Edinburgh Castle. 6 minutes of fireworks and several attempts to take a good blip, I gave up and watched.

Two teenagers suffered for their fun and we abandoned them to set off on the traditional New Year walk.

Back to Big bro's for a slap up meal and some lovely company.
