New Year's Day

Spent 2 hours hiding from rain in the park this afternoon
Watched ducks etc tumbling around in the pond and saw a huge golden carp leap out and scare three geese
Fortified by flasks of mulled wine and hot chocolate we braved the weather till the youngest in the party nagged persistently enough to move our little group back to our cars and home
