Old and New

Walking home from work on Erie St I see some of my favorite old buildings all in a row. I can't imagine how beautiful it was when those were the only buildings in sight. Perhaps I will blip them one by one.

But Chicago is a city of modern architecture, and growing up there I always loved the contrast of old and new. It makes me think, in a fairy tale sort of way, that it is possible to find the future without forgetting the past.

Here's to the new and the old.
