Shadows

Shadows of the past perhaps, hopefully to be soon forgotten.

Grey day, windy again, tired after being woken several times with quakes, it was so lovely to be able to relax and sleep in Wellington, and very hard to come back to another night of more shakes, after leaving Christchurch after a night of shakes. We've now had 45 quakes in the last 24 hours, and over 9000 since Sept 4 2010. Of course we don't feel all of them, but we do feel a lot!

It is becoming harder and harder to see a future for the city, after 18 months of shaking. I think anyone with a choice will be choosing to leave, especially those with children.

No more damage recently though so that's a blessing, and most of the garden has made it through the time we were away.
