Catch the moment

Celebrating in style...

Yesterday's afternoon tea stretched into evening in this most beautifully refurbished iconic landmark.

This was the first luxury hotel to be built in Britain, in 1889, famous for being lit throughout with electricity and each room having hot and cold running water.

The decor is stunningly elegant and understated.

Afternoon tea is beautifully presented, served on delicate dishes and platters: sandwiches, scones and delicious cakes with a choice of 22 different kinds of tea taken in the Savoy Foyer whilst the pianist plays in the winter garden gazebo under the stained-glass cupola.

I could do this every day.........
