New Year - New Experience. First outdoor climb

FoxyRoxy said she wanted the start to the New Year with a new experience and something memorable.....

Well the weather conspired to spoil our initial plans of heading into the mountains to try and climb the classic 500ft route Corvus.


We bailed out to a lower level valley crag and spent an enjoyable if some what draughty and chilly few hours climbing on the easy routes on Brown Slabs in Borrowdale.

this pic shows Roxy at the belay half way up the first route... still apparently enjoying herself or maybe just happy to still be alive.....

I took the opportunity to to try out my GoPro camera mounted on my helmet and set up in timed auto mode to capture the events of the day.... glad i didnt set it to take a pic more often as I had 150 to sort through taken every minute....
