Drive in Cemetery

On January 1st we visit three cemeteries and in one of them you can drive up to the grave you want to visit and the picture is from that one.
Why this is necessary I don't have a clue - your guess is a s good as mine.
I'm making plans to have my body cremated and am looking for "a good fellow" to scatter the ash in a nice place as it is forbidden in Iceland. I don't want a grave and a tombstone for my descendants to visit.
