Just walking in the rain

Here I am getting ready to set off on our New Years Day walk around Dam Flask Reservoir to the west of Sheffield. There was much debate about who was/ wasn't going to do the walk as the rain was coming down in bucket loads. In the end the men were delegated to walk the dogs and Ann and I decided to join them. It did ease off a little as we walked back up the far side. I think this is the first walk I've ever done holding an umbrella!

We all met up again at Jan's (one of my fellow printmakers) house for soup, cheese and bread. Very welcome it was too .

I left my camera at her house - hence my appearance in this shot. The weather was so bad that I doubt whether my photos came out anyway.
