Malvern
Whilst out driving we stumbled across a sign -to Elgars Graves at St Wulstan's catholic Church Little Malvern
Elgar died on the 23rd February 1934. . His wife Alice is buried at the same church, a very quiet and unassuming plot, but very peaceful.
I first became aware of Elgar when as a young boarder at the grammar school in Worcester i used to attend at St Georges RC Church , and sung in the choir accompanied by the organ there where Edward helped his father, played his first complete mass at St. George's in 1872 and was assistant organist from the mid-1870s, becoming organist in 1885.
