Cozy Afternoon

It was pretty cold in the frozen North today. So it was a good afternoon to be cozy by the fire.

This is the lounge fireplace at the Tor-Na-Coille Hotel in Banchory about 20 or so miles from Aberdeen. I guessed the only places I would find open today were hotels., so settled down here for an afternoon coffee.

It was so cozy by the log fire it was a while before we were able to drag ourselves back out into the cold. It would have been tempting to stay even longer, as it was the hotel probably thought we were taking out a long term lease on the seat next to the fire.

Decorations are still in evidence, but will have to be taken down by the end of the week. As tomorrow is still a public holiday in Scotland I am sure they will leave them another day. But for me off to the office unfortunately.
