The U of O Ducks, from Eugene, Oregon the city of my birth and the U of W Badgers met at Pasadena, California to participate in the oldest of the college football bowl games, the Rose Bowl. Resplendent in yet another uniform supplied by Nike, (that famous company which was founded by U of O alumni, Phil Knight-), the Ducks held off the Badgers to win the prestigious game for the first time since 1917. The Ducks, holding the title in the Pac 12 division played Wisconsin, who won their division but at this juncture I will have to pause in my sports writing mode as this will entail too much research on my part to continue, and I have lost interest in pursuing this current train of thought......

On a fashion note...you should have seen their chrome looking helmets. Perhaps in the 83 degree California sunshine, we blinded the opposing team with the glare. The photo I took of that didn't come out very good....so you get the coach accepting the trophy, but was turning to grab his players to hand it off to them....
