Lapdog wannabe
Cousteau curled up for a snuggle earlier. The poor soul doesn't seem to realise that at 35 kg, he is just too big to be a lapdog!
Had a pleasant morning pottering around and going to town for a few bits and bobs.
Kayla is here to visit. She's 10 going on 25 and is a pleasure to be around. So far we've walked Cousteau, made Gluten Free pizza, played umpteen games of Chinese Checkers (she's beaten me in all but one game) and finished Mimi's new coat. Mimi is very old in dog years and belongs to Muriel, who is in her 80s. Mimi deserves a few of life's small pleasures in her dotage and so I made her a quilted, tailormade coat, complete with her name embroidered on the side. She looked quite dapper and super warm in her new coat and I enjoyed making it for her. It's nice to be able to do something for someone who deserves it.
Kayla chose this photo. Oh, and we rescued a bunny that had escaped from someone's garden when we went for our walk. All in a day's work. :)
Canterbury just called. He won't be back until Saturday now and will only be home for a week or less before he has to go back. This is turning into the job from hell. Poor him and sad me. :(
Off to bed in a minute minus my hot water bottle (hottie as they call it over here). Kayla has it with her. I'll just put on an extra layer!
