Yellow Swamp Russula

Horrendous rain and wind all morning followed by a lovely sunny two hours in the afternoon. The spaniel and I sloshed our way around the commons. The rain has dissolved many of the earth balls into mush but other fungi, like the yellow swamp russula, are now more easily spotted as the heavy rain has washed away most of the bits of bracken and fallen leaves that were on its sticky cap.
