Today is the 50th anniversary of the first british Parking Meter! ... Bastards!

God knows how much i have had to pay over the years after falling foul of these bloody things or for that matter just feeding them! At least this is one of the wierd solar powered modern ones which i could strangely like, apart from the fact that in manchester 55 pence only gets you a meagre 15 minutes!

ps Smug cyclists can sod off, i dont get wet in the rain ;-)
