...and yet more about guitars.

This fine specimen is an e-bay special. You never know quite what you might get with e-bay; usually if it's a consumer electronics item you're on reasonably safe ground. With an instrument, however, it could be anything: there's so much a few photos cannot possibly show.

The guitar in question, however, turned out to be good. It had apparently been kept in the dampest house known to man but after a week or so of drying out, a strip and rebuild to get rid of the accumulated cack, some very fine wire wool and wax, new strings and a replacement bridge pickup it's now my main giging guitar.

(that sounded like a lot of work but really it wasn't)

It's absolutely nothing fancy but has a solid body, good neck and frets and plays well.

As for the pedal... well, for guitarists of a certain age there's nothing quite like a BOSS pedal.
