HAGGIS, RAIN AND FALLEN TREES
To Luss to blow away the cabin fever induced by yesterday's stormy weather. All praise to the chainsaw wielding guys and lassies who have done such a speedy job of clearing the A82 of fallen trees..
Outdoor images of seagulls on the jetty were fairly standard fare and it was much too wet to hang about for a really interesting picture. So today's blip is of lunch - a hearty plate of haggis and clapshot before a roaring fire at the Coach House. Around the plate are the first words of Burns' address to the Haggis:
Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face,
Great chieftain o' the puddin-race!
Just wish my own Scots Canadian laddie had been here to pipe it in for us - although there were some handsome young men in kilts...
