Orion over farmhouse

On my way home on a clear night I figured that I would take a photo of Grangemouth all lit up from the higher ground near California. It's a view Ive seen many times and always thought it looked impressive but I've never taken a photo of it.

Turns out that how it looks to the naked eye is much more impressive (thanks to how the brain works) than how it looks to a camera.

Took some photos anyway, wasn't too impressed, and when I turned around to pack up I saw Orion clear as day over the farmhouse behind me. Set the camera for a 15s exposure and this was the result - not bad for a dinky little compact camera :)
