stopping to appreciate a strangers hello

having helped to take down festive decorations i headed out to do some work. walking through the park i mused about what i was going to do. around a corner i came upon a dog with a most excellent expression, followed by a lady and another dog. my seeing the first dog had removed me momentarily from my thoughts.

we said hello to each other at the same time.

there followed a moment of reflection in which i smiled and documented where i was.
