Ditty Bag

I should have read this book before I made the topsail and no 1 jib. At least now I know what I did wrong!
I am serving my belated apprenticeship making a hand-sewn canvas ditty bag. It is certainly hard work but I'm getting the hang of using the sailmaker's palm although I must get a left handed one as I'm struggling with it in the "wrong" hand.
The first seam took me over an hour, the last patch only took 20 minutes. The grommets go in tomorrow and then some rope-work........
