Sun Dial

On the outside church wall thought to be a Mass dial where the human finger is used as the gnomon, possibly used by the clerk to time the sermons or for parishioners to check the time for the start of the service.

Still wet and windy earlier on when we ventured out but all seems to be calming down now and there is some sunshine.
