Northern Lapwing

Another day with fierce wind and rain. We couldn't leave the house through the backyard. The garden path is completely submerged ... :(

But the weather forecast spoke of periods without rain and outside we went. The whole day long. We travelled to the Zoo by subway in combination with walking.

In the course of the day we had some sun. And at that moment we were in the area of the meadow birds. My eye was drawn to a lapwing in the sun. And the glow of the reflected sunlight on the plumage was amazing!
