Prickly pear

I drove to the village of Tremithousa today to pick up Snowflake from the cattery - it's the first time she's been to one, and she coped very well. This huge cactus was just around the corner from where she was staying. I love the fruit that grows on them, though I'm not sure if they are prickly pears, as I only know the Turkish word for them (which I'm not sure how to spell!). Snowflake seems happy to be home and took the opportunity to glue herself to my lap for several hours today. I didn't miss her... much!
