...The Storm

2012 welcomed in with the traditional Edinburgh fireworks, they seemed to last a bit longer than last time I watched them.

Went to The Dome to meet first born beautiful daughter and her boyfriend and actually managed to get a bit of a chat (and a new year kiss) from Jen.

On the way home we had to stop at Taste Of Italy for a rest as daughter's feet were rather killing her and she ended up in her stocking feet by the time we'd got halfway down London Road.

Jen made it back for 5am which was pretty darn respectable all things considered.

During the day part of New Year's Day we had a wander round the stuff going on in town, including a brief look at The Games but it quickly got cold so we headed home. I made a Crispy Aromatic Goose and pancakes which was a particularly tasty take on an old favourite.
