Fiery Dragons Clash

As 23 January approaches, Christmas decorations are hurriedly taken down to prepare for the Chinese New Year. Over here, 2 dragons are strung together from red lanterns in a mock battle for a fiery ball of flames.

In Chinese mythology, dragons are thought to give life, hence their breath is called "sheng chi" or divine energy. They are essentially benevolent and associated with abundance and blessing. They were helpful, wise and generous with their gifts when people encountered them.

Well, over here... they are just decorative! ;)
