Time Zoned Out

As much as I am enjoying Blipping, I have run into a little aberration that is causing me some vexation. Blip, it seems, is, and rightly so, on Greenwich Mean Time. I am not. In fact, I am almost one-third of the world away from GMT. So when the majority of Blippers are waking up to tea and toast at 7 a.m., I am punching the pillow and wondering why I can't, again, get to sleep before midnight.

This normally is not a problem, other than the odd sensation of having Skype conversations with friends in England when one or the other of us are in our jammies. However? where this does cause the vexing is when I go to post my Blip of the day. I am at GMT minus seven hours. That means that unless I post my photo before 5 pm my time, midnight in England; Blip thinks I am trying to pull a fast one on them. My photos are quarantined until some inspector can take a good look at them and determine why I am telling them that I took the photo on the day before they think it is. Each time, I diligently explain that I am in a different time zone, and while it may be tomorrow where you are, it is still today here. Or today and yesterday, if your view is Eurocentric. I wonder what those poor sods in Australia have to do? Is it yesterday or tomorrow there? Or maybe next week, who knows.

While you ponder that, please excuse me. I have to post this before 5 p.m. my time; otherwise I'll have another inquisition with the Blip Police.
