Life on the Mothership!

Devastated!

Was really proud of son's bedroom. It cost a lot of money and time to get my son's bedroom right when we moved in. It had to be replastered and the crap polystyrene tiles on the ceiling took weeks to scrape off. Then today they come and put a ceiling hoist in which isn't even on the ceiling and one end has been attached to his brick fireplace with an electric box next to it. Devastated. Poor engineer didn't know what to say to sobbing woman. Have left it in hands of Occupational Therapist who was there with rep at the planning stage where it was clearly stated it was not to be put on brick fireplace. It never occurred to me that a ceiling hoist was actually a half way down the wall hoist! My son is never the problem it's all the crap that comes with having a child with a disability that makes it all hard work. Our children shouldn't get stuff/adaptations that the builder/engineer/product company owner wouldn't accept in their own house. Rant over!
