Tomorrowland

8 countries, 7 currencies, 5 public transit systems. So what does it all mean?

I'm less than sure. I saw a lot of interesting stuff, met a lot of interesting people, and learned a lot. But at the same time, I can hardly pretend that what I did was particularly unique, tons of students and younger folk from around the world do similar stuff, and I met many of them on my travels. Overall, that's a wonderful thing, although some people I'm friends with on facebook seem determined to prove me otherwise, I feel you can't help but get a lot from traveling, even to such safe and similar destinations as the Nordics and Baltics.

That's why I guess I feel it's difficult to write any kind of overarching summary; there wasn't one big lesson learned, just many smaller ones like 'Danes love bicycles and alcohol' or 'Norwegians eat many hot dogs'. In the end, whatever it is that I got out of this experience most is probably deeply personal and also yet to show up, as I return to my studies and find new parallels and comparisons, as I put things that I didn't even register learning to work. That'll be fun, I hope, but it might make me miss Scandinavia a bit.

Nowhere to go but onward though, it's been fun, and life goes on, as will this Blipfoto. I definitely would like to continue this, maybe for a year, maybe for more. As everyone is about to find out, I go to school in Minnesota, and play a lot of frisbee. Onward!
