The traditional applause from the losing team (Harlequins) to the victors (Northampton Saints) after a packed house watched a thundering game under floodlights.

The picture is grainy and dark and not very sharp, but it says everything: elation but magnanimity in victory and forebearance in defeat. Rugby is surely the finest of all sports for its intensity and its sportsmanship.
